Texas in the spring is very wet! We’ve had record amounts of rain during spring for 2 years in a row now. It had rained all morning and afternoon but it stopped for an hour right before sunset. Long enough for such a sweet maternity/family portrait session! This beautiful lady will be having another girl soon and big sister is beyond excited!! Don’t be afraid to have a session taken on a cloudy day…clouds provide beautiful diffused light that is so soft and subtle. No worries about harsh shadows during those types of days…something all mommas can appreciate:)
Hello Spring!! Flowers are one of the things that I just adore. The beauty of the creator God making each one so different and unique speaks to my creative heart.
The Dallas Aboretum is beautiful during the spring and I had such a wonderful family to capture among the new blooms. Love, love, love how these images turned out!
I was so happy to have the chance to meet this family. They are beautiful inside and out and just make you feel so appreciated. I think their kindness and genuineness shines through in their pictures. You can just see the love they have for each other!
We ended up doing a combined family and senior session! We had a lot of fun and I just love the images of David and his guitar.
I adore this family!! We go way back…back to when I was pregnant with my first child and teaching 2nd grade. This amazing momma was such a breath of fresh air for me as a teacher. She was so supportive, willing to do anything for me, and best of all made me smile and laugh!! She even organized my first baby shower. And there’s a bonus because her son was one of my favorite students of all time:) He is smart, kind, funny, and just all around awesome. Seriously her children make me realize that our future is in good hands. Good job parents!! I was so excited to see them all again and capture them behind the lens.
“You are here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the world…I’m putting you on a light stand. Now that I’ve put you there on a hilltop-shine! Keep open house, be generous with your lives. By opening up to others, you’ll prompt people to open up with God, our generous Father in Heaven.” (Matthew 5:14-16 adapted from The Message)
I was so excited to meet the Browne Family a few weeks ago. They all have such kind souls! On this day we had quite the weather..sunny but COLD. Of all the families that could do cold weather…this family nailed it! After all they have Canadian roots:)
I have a secret…there are 4 supermodels living right down my street and I know them and they are great people:) This sweet family was so much fun to photograph…I mean can they be any more gorgeous! I loved everything about this session…the light, the location, the connection, and the awesome clothes they wore! They are truly a beautiful family inside and out:)
There is nothing like the connection and love between a little boy and his momma! I was so happy to be able to share an afternoon with these 2:) They were one of my first families when I started this business. This little guy will probably grow up to be a famous model…right?! I’ll get to say that I knew him! Love ya’ll!
“We love because He first loved us.” 1 John 4:19
I love this precious family so much. I am honored to walk alongside them in the journey of life. They are an inspiration to me and such a wonderful example of servants of Jesus Christ. I truly love these images…they really speak to my soul. I was struck by the connection, emotion, and joy in each one.
“You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” Psalm 16:11
All I can say about this session is HELLO FALL LIGHT! The light was so beautiful on this day…it’s a wonderful reminder of God’s goodness. I love catching up with this sweet family and I’m looking forward to all that God has in store for them in the future:)
Oh my goodness…this was one of my favorite sessions ever! We braved some clouds and a gusty wind but I just adore how these images turned out:) It helps that the momma of this bunch is stunning! And when I say bunch I mean a 4 year old, 2 year old, and 4 month old twin girls!! My favorite image of the night was actually one of the last series I took. I always take pictures of the couple in the story (i.e. mom and dad…where it all started) and their adorable daughter said she wanted them to walk down the aisle and kiss just like when they got married and she would throw leaves on them like a real wedding:) Melt my heart…and it’s one of my favorite images that I’ve ever taken.
